Wellness Health Check – Take Control Over Your Health
What is gynaecological and reproductive health?
The term ‘Gynaecological and Reproductive health’ refers to a vast number of health concerns that relate specifically to the health of ovaries, uteruses, cervixes and other related organs. A wellness health check can detect gynaecological and reproductive health issues early.
Some of the more common health issues include:
- conception and pregnancy
- urinary tract conditions including recurrent infections
- genital infections or sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
- menstrual problems
- polycystic ovarian syndrome
What is a wellness health check?
Keeping up with regular screening and seeking treatment for any unusual symptoms is key to maintaining a good health.
Depending on your age and history, your check-up may include a breast/chest examination, pelvic examination, cervical screening (pap test), STI screening or pre-pregnancy testing.
Many conditions, including genital infections, can be effectively treated or managed if diagnosed early. Regular check-ups are also vital for the early detection of cervical, breast, uterine and ovarian cancer. These illnesses are far more treatable when they are detected early.
